Dante - Due - A spiritual journey is a battle!

8/10/2022

ちなみに、私が使っているダンテの本は、「The Divine Comedy of Dante Alighieri Inferno - A verse translation by Allen Mandelbaum」です。

  3. Tom

Quali fioretti dal notturno gelo
chinati e chiusi, poi che ‘l sol li ‘mbianca,
si drizzan tutti aperti in loro stelo,

tal mi fec’ io di mia virtude stanca,
e tanto buono ardire al cor mi corse,
ch’i’ cominciai come persona franca

-- Inferno 2.127 & 2.128
As a little flowers, which the chill of night / has bent and huddled, when the white sun strikes, / grow straight and open fully on their stems, / so did I, too with my exhausted force; / and such warm daring rushed into my heart / that I -- as one who has been freed - - began: (Translated by Allen Mandelbaum)

Dante - Uno -
Dante - Due -
